New York Sen. Hillary Clinton had her staff fabricate records of meetings and phone calls to familles of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks to burnish her image as New York's leading politician on 9/11 issues, the author of a new book on how U.S. officials dealt with the aftermath of the attacks charged Sunday.

No, it was during her senate campaign against that pup Lazio. She was doing a big appearance to promote her concern over New York Hospitals and the financial plight they were in.

The former Clinton defender also cast doubt on the authenticity of an account offered by Chelsea Clinton, who told reporters after the attacks that she was so close to the Twin Towers collapse that she feared for her life.

I'm no Brill fan, but lots of these revelations have a ring of truth to them. Or he could be trying to hype his book.

It's my understanding that she NEVER attended a single funeral for the police or fire people who were killed. I guess I just assumed it was true.

Actually she is violating a Clinton rule here. The rule is that one must always lie big, in the boldest most arrogant and carnivorous way. The truth must never be mixed with lies. That will trip you up.

Hillary has lied here about something small, clerical in nature, and is mixed with truth's regarding her actual schedule.

Now if she had claimed to have dug the graves of 9-11 victims and to have given a kidney to a surviving child, that would work.

The other Clinton rule is projection: always leap out and accuse your opponent of your own blatant sins with the most strident rhetoric possible. It works with the puppydog press and opponents are left sputtering like school kids, "no, you did it!"

I still think that if Hillary runs, she cannot survive the intense scrutiny and the press will ultimately enjoy watching such a big fish go down in flames. She will be betrayed by the institution that she thinks is so loyal.

The Clinton MO is to just keep lying. Their deceit is so routine even people on FR are desensitised to this behavior. So tell me why the majority of New Yorker's voted for her?

Well, fair is fair, and the Clintons may not be guilty of mass torture, etc. But if the Clintons were born in Iraq or another country where the path to power laid in being the baddest dictator, it isn't so hard to imagine them playing those roles to perfection. Presidente for life!

Could be literally true. My son was on 30th street and feared for his life. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers evacuated Manhattan, although with hindsight there was no danger.

That said, it is still a disgusting lie.

It's a sterio type thing. Men are "suppose to be rounders" We just look the other way or laugh about it. How many jokes do we know about unfaithful men. We have a soft spot for the philanderer the poor fool. He can't help himself......yadda yadda

OTOH Hillary's a shrew, in the worst sense of the word. Know any piece a literature (written or film) where the female character is a shrew and well liked? Can't think of one.

I think it's possible that WJF was allowed to stay in Washington, just because people felt sorry for him being married to the 8itch. Poor Bill, his wife is such a witch no wonder he is as he is........(Whatever IS means)

The Senate thing is painful. The New York liberal crowd and the adoring left wing press did give her a pass, but it seemed almost like they felt she had earned her own place in the limelight. Feminism triumphed in a kind of affirmative action election. But president is a big deal. And the stakes have never been higher. The public -- and even some of the press through the brilliant tactic of embedded reporting and the erosion of the liberal monopoly in the press -- now understands that feel-good election of a celebrity isn't worth it if we end up as radioactive dust. It was fun for the left to hold Hillary up on their shoulders, but would she have done well in the past two years as president? The answer is obvious, and they will turn on her.

A funny story:

The church was holding Sunday morning service. By some chance, Bill Clinton (William Judas Clinton) was attending.

By a further coincidence, Satan, aka the Devil, aka the Father of Lies, walked through the door. The church members took on look, and ran for all available exits, jumping out the window, or running full tilt at the walls until they forced a way out.

The only one left was Sick Willie. Satan was a bit annoyed, here was a mere human who did not show proper fear. Satan imperiously demanded, "Why are you not afraid of me?"

Sick Willie looked at Satan, and calmly said, "Look, I've been married to your sister for 25 years."

The left will never turn on hitlary. She has a senate job for life since the clinton's now control the democrat party of NY state. I don't believe New York democrats would ever vote for a nondemocrat even if it means voting for hitlary.
