But, says the author, "None of it turned out to be true. ... They gave me documents and phone calls and things like that which just plain never happened."

DUH!!!

I would pay good money for a case of that TP - it'd be best though if it alternated between Bill and Hill.

"If the memos support what the article says, then the only things that Hillary will be able to do are to..."

Hillary doesn't have to do squat. Check the article. This rumor is about Hillary dissing Schumer over 9/11.

Thus, *Schumer* can denounce this rumor at the timing of his convenience and this issue goes completely away from being directed against Hillary... regardless of what she does or what various dry, boring memos say.

Denouncing this rumor, if it came from Schumer, *would* give Hillary a national popularity boost.

...And Brill, a known Clinton fan, is the one who floated it in the first place.

Just remember, you trap your prey by baiting it with something that it *wants*. Well, Conservatives want more and more dirt on the already-dirty Clintons, and a few such Conservatives (certainly those at Newsmax) may be so hungry for publicity and juicy anti-Clinton gossip that they take the cheese and spring such a trap.

"Saddam is afraid of unscripted moments. Contrary to popular belief, he is not very intelligent. He uses ruthlessness as a substitute for intelligence." Wow, it fits.

That's right -- Raddam Hoosain.

Would this so called 'news leak' be designed to help her new book sales?

No but it might give her something to write about (she hasn't turned in anything to her editor yet).

From Newsmax

www.newsmax.com/showinside.shtml?a=1999/6/20/100833

Still, Inside Cover can't help but recall one of the more disturbing reports to ever grace the pages of the American Spectator, which has unearthed more than its share of disturbing news during the Clinton years.

The Spectator had examined one of Mrs. Clinton's classic kiddie-compassion photo-ops, a January 1997 visit to the pediatrics ward at Georgetown University Medical Center.

The young patients were quite ill and looked it. Several were terminal cases. But word of Mrs. Clinton's visit had all of them delighted and thrilled. She was slated to lift their spirits by reading excerpts from author Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are," his award-winning children's book. But, according to the Spectator:

"Alas, the first lady's advance team became squeamish about their boss appearing with kids who weren't looking 100 percent in the pink; in fact, hospital officials were told not to allow any children into the photo-op who were 'drowsy,' bald, bearing tubes in their bodies or 'sick looking.'" Instead, perfectly healthy children of the hospital staff were ushered into a conference room, which had been redecorated as a playroom for the occasion. There the first lady got her photo-op as America's No. 1 child advocate, while the sick kids were left cooling their heels well outside of camera range.

One hospital source told the Spectator that the truly ill children were devastated, having concluded that Mrs. Clinton had deemed them "too sick to be seen" with her.

This rumor is about Hillary dissing Schumer over 9/11.

Southack, the article mentions the dissing of Schumer, but that's not the news. That's politicians stabbing each other in the back. The news is in the first line of the article:

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton had her staff fabricate records of meetings and phone calls to familles of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

That could be it. There is one other factor. While perhaps a liberal "true believer," Brill is also an investigative journalist. The liberal media protected the HillBillery show for a lot of reasons, primarily the idea that "Bill was getting railroaded for a BJ any guy would have wanted." It violated thier sacred tenets of sex without boundries. However, when an honest reporter (liberal or conservative) moves into other areas of the Clintoon underbelly, you begin to quickly find out that maybe the "vast, right-wing conspiricy" was not so off-base after all. Brill may not have changed his politics, but he has gotten a rude awakening regarding the people he once believed in. Will it bounce his book sales - perhaps. More telling is the fact that he appears to have handled most of the issues surrounding "After" (at least the reviews I've seen) with a great deal of honest reporting. This could indeed send HIllery packing if Brill has got substantial documentation / evidence backing up her malfeasence. NY can have her, for all I care, just keep her the H*LL away from the White House...

This is just the sort of fabricated accusation the clinton's thrived on, having some reporter release soemthing and the republican public getting outraged, then the proof of the false assertion is released. These criminals are devious beyond even the wildest imagination ... and Brill has helped them with this sort of trap before!

Stephen Brill's After, in which he discloses that Hillary Clinton faked records of her post 9/11 actions to appear more sympathetic.

Apparently, 'Hill' confronted it like she does most things: She lied.

When has Brill reported something negative to the Clintons (or either of them) that turned out not to be true?
