Rick Schroder is a stand up guy. He was heavily influenced by William Holden.

The first liberal who calls him "Little Ricky Schroder" should get kicked right in the Blix.

There was a 1980 movie called The Earthling in which Holden played a tough guy who taught the orphaned Schroder about life and survival. Worth a look.

No doubt the result of them working together on that wonderfull 1981 film "The Earthling".

Wiliam Holden was a standup guy. God bless him.

RIP Mr. Holden.

FINALLY someone has heard of the earthling!
What a wonderful film, and probably some of Rick's best acting.
Holden was exquisite in it too. I think it was his last film.

He was as far as I know. His most liberal cause became wildlife conservation, which his ex-partner, Stefanie Powers, is carrying on for him in his name.

"Thought Holden was dead!"

He wasn't always. I recall a time when he was quite lively, but he doesn't get out much anymore.

The Earthling is one of my favortite films.....I bet Rick at 9 or 10 when it was made was in awe of Holden.
