William Holden? Was he conservative, too?

He was as far as I know. His most liberal cause became wildlife conservation, which his ex-partner, Stefanie Powers, is carrying on for him in his name.

William Holden? Was he conservative, too? Ronald Reagan's best man at his wedding to Nancy.

William Holden was Ronald Reagan's best man when he married Nancy. The Holdens and Reagans remained close friends for years.

Ronald Reagan, Robert Taylor, William Holden, and Robert Cummings were the best of friends in their Hollywood days. They were all staunch conservatives.

I understand that he was close friends with the Reagans and was an ally in the struggles against communists in the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) when Reagan was head of the union. Either way, he was one of the best film actors who ever lived.
