I've been sending things to the CDC and WHO. Two months ago, I tried sending both those groups a warning. When the first news of SARS came here, people all over started buying up all the antibiotics they could (you can get lots of them over the counter here, and the others you can steal from the hospital if you have a friend who works there). They were taking them to prevent SARS, but most people here haven't the foggiest idea how those work, or what their purpose is. If they get sniffles, they take them till the sniffles go away--if that is 2, 3, 5 or 10 days. Then they stop. Building up their antibiotic resistence!
