April 3, 2003 -- URS Corporation announced today that it's EG&G division has been awarded a prime contract with the U.S. Navy to provide technical support on two major Navy Joint Surface Warfare programs.
February 6, 2003 -- URS Corporation announced today that its EG&G/Lear Siegler division was awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) located at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey to provide engineering and logistics services for military weapons platforms. August 23, 2002 -- George Melton, President & CEO of EG&G announced today that URS Corporation completed the acquisition of EG&G Technical Services Holdings, L.L.C. (EG&G Technical Services, Inc. and Lear Siegler Services, Inc.). This transaction significantly strengthens URS' position as a federal contractor and enhances our growth profile, principally in national and homeland defense. It doesn't take a great brain to figure that the most experienced company in WMD distruction would be a good cantidate for lucrative Govt. contracts, therefore, a good acquisition cantidate.
