No one ever went bust underestimating the intelligence of the American people. And lets not forget the short attention span. In 6 months all we will hear about the Iraq situation will be how the Shiites have democratically elected leaders that want us out pronto, and we should turn everything over to the UN to reduce our costs.

While there may be lots of "sheeples", there has been a huge cultural shift in this country. Not only post 9/11, but resentment that the left tells us how to think, controls our tv and press, and gets the lion share of ink about whatever their hot issue of the day is.

The resentment is clear from the success of FR, Rush, Fox, the best selling books by various conservative authors etc... Still amazed that the "main stream" media and culture hasn't changed gears except for a Rupert Murdoch, a Dennis Miller and a few thoughtful leftish writers.
