Actually it's even more of a furtherance of the leftist designs on population control. Men are biologically expendable, women of reproductive age are not. If you want to 'kill' a society, kill most of its reproductive age women. The reverse isn't nearly as effective. Look at Russia after WWII. Women are both the rate limiting factor and the rate limiting step. One woman can have (barring twins) one baby every nine months. Add in a couple months for fertility return and you get one/year. Max. The leftists know this. If they can arrange to get enough reproductive age women in harms way their agenda of population control will be that much easier. They're not content with just abortion, they're trying to kill the mommies now.
