When it comes to Syria, Rahall is a fool, and Issa isn't much better than Helen Thomas. It is surprising that Americans of Syrian descent, all of whom know the reason behind the 19-20th Century Syrian diaspora, carry water for the Assad family. The Assad, an Alawite minority who retain power through the use of terror, is not quite, but damned near, as vicious as the Hussein in Iraq. Should the US military make a left turn and march through Damascus you would see a celebration the likes of which haven't been witnessed in the Middle East since Semiramis was around.

You can't solve the Israeli-Palestinian issue without solving the problem terrorist attacks throughout Israel.

You can't stop the terrorist attacks without stopping the flow of money, arms, and islamic militants from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other places into Israel.

The Israeli-Palestinian issue cannot be solved until the countries that are funding the violence decide it is in their best interest to cease supporting the terrorist activities.

The only way to convince them it is in their best interest is to threaten their regime. I don't believe we have to roll through the whole region. We took out Afghanistan and Iraq. If we take out one more country, perhaps Syria or Iran, the other countries might be more willing to cooperate.
