I must have been on another planet when the discussions leading up to the Iraq attack were taking place. I thought I heard distinctly that different administration officials stated that Iraq had WMD's and we had to protect ourselves by invading Iraq and ridding Iraq of them before they used them on us. I never dreamed that I was being lied to because I figured that nobody would do this in order to con the people into a war under false pretenses. It now appears that this can possibly be the case.
There is an intense effort to find a WMD. If not found soon, the credibility of the US is going to be damaged beyond repair. I have been a suspect of the truthfulness of the average politician but this is over the edge if we were lied to. We have 159 young people and 20 billion expended up to date. If this WMD is a hoax, the backlash will be terrific.

If you dare point things like that out, you are asking to get trashed around here. The thought and free speech police are out in full force today. They're getting highly defensive about those WMD not being found.

Why do you choose to trust those who have lied and distorted facts and ignore a trusted and honorable source?
There is zero chance this administration lied to you. You either are going wobbly in an incredibily short time, or you never believed the truth in the first place and aren't likely to acknowledge such when it is presented to you all documented to the last detail.
So please spare the wide-eyed act that you believed anything the administration said. I did and know I have been on the side of right and will always hold my head high with pride and gratitude. You guys will be scampering off to concoct more lies to spread about good and decent people. Shame.
