Walter Duranty helped cover up the Ukrainian Holocaust of 1932/33. Somewhere between 6 and 9 million Ukrainian farmers (private farmers called 'kulaks') were starved to death under orders of Stalin because they refused to give up their land for the collective farms. And Duranty wrote glowing reports about the socialist paradise that Stalin was creating.
