Used to be a time with these type agencies were quite content, internally, with their own successes.

Now, it seems, that part of their MO is to gain media 'atta-boys' and pats on the back to garner goodwill.

FOX ran a clip a little while ago where Lantos states he's still trying to verify this story with the CIA.

So, the tale is not cast in iron yet.

Lantos may just be spouting this story to make our own intelligence look bad in comparison with Israel's. We'll see.

Lantos is an idiot.

Since it was reported by the medical personnel that examined Boorda's body that there were two gunshot wounds to the chest, Lantos's remark was not only reprehensible, but it also appears to be inaccurrate on the minor detail of suicide.

Expect Lantos to report next on how Mossad was responsible for the Union's victory at Gettysburg. I nominate Lantos for the postion of Iraqi Information Minister.

this is manifestly something that should not be made public right now. does it help us one iota in post-war iraq? i would argue it hurts us. we are dealing with people who think hitler didn't go far enough. will they like that the israeli intelligence agency was operating in nasseriah? i don't think so!

lantos should know better, now is not the time to pat backs.
