If the state of CA allows business to accept non-offical ID from one group of people...then they should accept other ID forms from other people

Say a black woman gets one of those cheap ID's from InnerCity ID's.....and a bank denies her ID because it is not official.....and the black woman sues because her rights were violated because Mexicans are allowed to use non-American ID's while she (as a black woman) cannot use hers?

I hate to use the "race card" term...but allowing Mexicans to use "non-offical" ID as "official ID" discriminates against other groups of people who cannot use their "unofficial" IDs as "official".

I believe various Central American countries are pushing their own cards as well. Are we also supposed to accept, say, IDs from the Yemeni or Libyan governments?

Your point is right on the money, of course, but it doesn't make any difference. This is Kalifornia you are talking about and there is simply no "sense", as we understand it, left in Kalifornia. It's all over; the place is gone forever.
