Two Israeli youths aged 19 and 20, who had been briefly trained in the use of a gun for guard duty, killed two Arab terrorists last night. The latter attempted to infiltrate an outpost near the Yesha community of Elon Moreh for the purpose of murdering Jews.

In other Palestinian terror attacks last night and today, a bullet went through the windshield and out the door of an Israeli car this morning, but miraculously, no one was hurt. The attack occurred between Ofrah and Shilo.... A policeman was lightly wounded when a PA Arab attempted to run him down between Atarot and Adam, north of Jerusalem. The policeman fired in the direction of the attempted murderer, who is being sought... Two mortar shells hit a Gush Katif community last night; no one was hurt...

A wanted Arab of the PA was arrested this afternoon, after he was found to be carrying a handgun that had been stolen from the nearby Jordan Valley community of Patzael. An Islamic Jihad terrorist was apprehended near Jenin during the night with a Kalachnikov assault rifle and ammunition on his person; he had been planning a shooting attack today.

This morning's Hizbullah anti-aircraft fire from southern Lebanon into northern Israel marked three consecutive days of such attacks. In today's attack, a vehicle in the municipality of Shlomi was damaged.
