The civil liberties Chicken Littles are after John Ashcroft again. This week, some of the nation's top editorial writers accused the attorney general of "overkill" (The Washington Post), "overreaction" (Chicago Tribune), and "throw[ing] away the key" (Rocky Mountain, Colo., News).
