Just a FYI...........My understanding is that the Governor's man who designed CA's energy policies and is in charge of CA's energy commission is a former Nader accolyte.
For the sake of accuracy:
1. Deregulation of the CA Electric Markets was promoted by a Democrat (Steve Peace) then in the legislature. He's now the California Finance Director. But deregulation was approved by a bipartisan majority and signed in 1996 by Republican Governor Wilson.
2. Screw-ups of that energy policy, were implemented by a Democrat, Loretta Lynch as Chairwoman of the CPUC state regulatory body.
Understand where Lynch came from: A lawyer, no background in Energy issues, gained her appointed post as a political payback from Governor Davis. Lynch's most notable prior position, was as the woman who set up and ran the Clinton 1992 "War Room" Communications Center during his Presidential run.
