There is a LOT of interesting information in that article...thanks...if the people in India ARE somehow protected from illness and the virus...just a thought here: I wonder what happened in India during the 1918 pandemic...I think I'll go see what I can find.
I don't think that anyone can count on immunity, though. As far as I know, Indians DO get HIV.. I wish I knew MORE! ;-D

The Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, B-Gen. Lee had just released a press statement a few days ago, dispelling some myths and misconceptions about SARS, one of them is that India Indians are immune to SARS
He released statistics from the S'pore SARS cases to point out that of all the cases , 10% are Indians, although Indians account for only a few percent of Singapore population
