You're not weird. The folks that complained about the movie on this thread probably lauded Ashcroft's move to cover up the naked statute in the justice department.

The soundtrack in
Taxi Driver was like a character itself, a major character. The movie just wouldn't have been the same without that soundtrack. I never heard a soundtrack which more perfectly matches the mood of the movie as does the
Taxi Driver soundtrack.
BTW, I heard that DeNiro's famous, "You talkin' to me?" was improvised on the spot.
