I agree she should be given plenty of time to recover without prodding for the sake of being a witness.
The Central Park jogger is grateful she remembers nothing. (For her sake so am I).

She should be left alone about out, IMHO.The situation with female POW's is sad and also took a long time to come out after Gulf War I. I am afraid that the Iraqi fellow who risked his life to get her rescued probably would not have done so if the only problem was, as reported, her being slapped.
Re prosecution, our self-respect requires treating anyone involved in mistreatment of Americans far more harshly than normal Saddamite thugs. However, the prosecutor's problems should of course not come first.
