[history]
The Democratic presidential candidates who want to repeal or substantially scale back President Bush's income tax cuts could be calling for tax increases in next year's elections just as Walter Mondale did in 1984.
All of the Democratic contenders are fiercely opposed to the across-the-board income-tax-rate cuts that Congress approved in 2001 and were to be phased in over 10 years. And all have either called for their full repeal or want to freeze large parts of the top-rate cuts scheduled to go into effect in 2004 and 2006.

*** "The Democrats are walking into a trap of their own making," said tax-cut crusader Grover Norquist, who heads Americans for Tax Reform.***
That's known as misunderestimating Dubya's strategry.
Zogby says: ***When we ask will Bush tax cuts stimulate the economy, about 36 percent say 'yes,' and most of that is from the Republicans.***
There's a BIG difference between believing that a tax cut will stimulate the economy, and VOTING for more money in your paycheck, Mr. Zogby.

President Bush will make his case in his usual common sense fashion. The RATS will have to explain how less take-home pay for American workers will stimulate the economy.
The GED-educated crowd on the DNC econonic team will ensure a landslide for the President.
