David Corn wrote a similar article yesterday. In fact, there has been a slew of them on the left. Democrats simply do not get it. Going back 30 years to attack a fighter jet pilot gets nobody on your side. Not when that pilot has 70% approval, trounced your side in an off year election his party should have lost and won victories in Iraq, Afghanistan and against Al Qaeda.

The left is now Bush's best friend. Anytime he wants, he can provoke liberals into a sputtering, incoherent rage. All it takes is a few words (quoting David Bloom's email about Jesus) or hanging out with the troops.
