And if you believe this I've got a bridge....

Both bulleted items are very misleading.

Most of the savings in the "6 bills" are not savings but rather deferrals. The money isn't "saved", it's just being paid "later".

The minimum wage statement is also misleading. For all but a handful of legislative staff these temporary, minimum wage folks will have to be paid the rest of their accrued salaries when the budget is passed. The minimum wage applys only during the impasse and their full wages are accuring and waiting for them the minute the gov signs the budget.

To date the California legislature has done essentially nothing to solve the crisis except delay the debt repayment past this fiscal year. The spending hasn't stopped and the money is still owed.

California's liberal media is doing its citizens a real disservice by misrepresenting the activities of the legislature. What the legislature is doing is beyond me.

Excellent post.
The scumbags are simply back to the same old smoke and mirrors.
I fear the scumbag Democrats are stalling in the hope that some referendum or another will pass which will allow them to raise property taxes and/or pass a budget with either a simple majority or 55%.
(LOL!. Yeah, it would be a "simple" majority alright.)

Will the last taxpayer to leave California please turn off the....
Oh, nevermind - - they'll already be off.
