[history]
He usually makes headlines for his cutting-edge research into brain damage. But prominent Ivy League professor Tracy McIntosh is now facing a different kind of notoriety - after being accused of raping a student in his campus office.
The leading doctor at University of Pennsylvania Medical School turned himself into police last week, following allegations by a 23-year old veterinary student that he took her to his office and forced her to have sex with him after the pair had smoked pot.

Well, the guy's got to be pretty worried or his legal team wouldn't be trying to do a deal...

If he had smoked pot he may have had the ability to receive something given to him but not the ability to take it. The term "mushed out" says it all for someone who was smoking pot and tried anything that required initiative.

The doctor.
The school paper says that the woman wasn't a student or a school employee.

I always thought that marijuana caused black men to rape white women -- I guess that goes for white men, too.
To: robertpaulsen
Marijuana doesn't cause anybody to do anything.

I don't know...I just don't trust these kinds of reports...she smoked pot with him...she went to his office...and then he RAPED her? I don't buy it.

McIntosh's lawyers say the professor is taken aback by the accusation, and are battling to reach a plea agreement to avoid a rape trial. Anyone ever seen the David Mamet film "Oleanna"?
It stars William H. Macy and he is terrific in it. I recommend it. It is an eye opener. It'll have you hurling bricks at the screen and rooting for the "rapist" in the end. Guaranteed.
