The Bush administration is rapidly losing control of the tax legislative process. Its unwillingness to acknowledge that its plan needed to be totally rethought once a $350 billion revenue loss cap was imposed in the Senate has created an anarchic situation in Congress.

People like his wife Hillary, then a high-priced lawyer for the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, knew he was going to raise taxes and so shifted some of her income from 1993 into 1992 so it would be taxed at lower rates. I forgot about this old chestnut... Someone needs to remind Her Majesty when she's on her book tour or running for the presidency -- or at least ask her how she was so canny to cash out on those options the day before higher taxes would be effective. For a woman who couldn't remember anything, she certainly did have great timing.

Another case of 'tax reform' leaving us in a worse position than we were previously. Remember the 'paperwork reduction act'? ugh.
I trust no tax cut other than one which includes the abolition of the IRS.
