THE ROAD MAP TO HELL

We are all acquainted with the maxim that "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions." As a strong supporter of President Bush and the Bush Doctrine in foreign policy, I can only believe that the latest Middle East plan presented by the US for consideration by Israel and the Palestinian Authority is viewed as a "gesture" to the Arab world. Either that, or the Administration, especially the State Department, is either naïve or delusional regarding the facts on the ground in the Middle East.
In any case, this plan is "dead on arrival" for a number of solid reasons....

The whole peace "roadmap" has the fingerprints on it of the appeasment cabal in the State Department.

Is that the current spin the hawks are pushing-- blame the state department?
Good luck with that.

When I first heard of this "road map" the news was that there would be no negotiations. It is there, take it or leave it. That part I think is smart for Bush. Anybody thinks that the Israelis will return to the 67 borders is hallucinating or never seen a map of those borders. It would be like telling your kids they could "go in the kitchen, but one would have to stay on the white tiles and one would have to stay on the black". Whoever set up those borders was an imbecile. Take a look sometime, there is literally a crossroads where the two nations are "catty corner" to each other. Those borders were indefensible and the Arabs screwed up royally when they attacked Israel and gave Israel the justification to improve it's border security. To pretend that this is the reason Arabs hate Jews or that returning to those borders will bring peace is something a 1st grader would understand is pure psychosis.

The "roadmap" is nothing more than a device to placate the Arabs sufficiently while we take care of all out business in the region. Both Bush and Sharon know that the Palestinians can never live up to the terms of the agreement. ....There will be no Palestinian state.

The arabs and Jews have been at loggerheads since the days of Ishmael when Abraham got his concubine pregnant. Never shoulda happened. He went against God's plan and we're stuck with the mess it created. There will never be peace in the Middle East until Christ returns to fight for Jerusalem. If we divide Jerusalem, then it's prophetic that Christ will return for His people and He will protect His chosen ones, the Jews. We live in interesting times.

Indeed there should be no Palestinian state, it is not the Almighty's design to partition the land He gave to Israel and of all the peoples on earth, that it would be occupied by those who have hatred for His people. May the USA be found agreeing with Scripture and not with the praise/regard of man.

What I don't see here is GB barging in like some Jimmy Carter, or a Bill Clinton trying to grab the limelight and a
peace prize.

When I first read of this "road map," my first thought was who drafted it? When I found out, credibility went to zero. Then when the phases were reported to complete the road map, I then knew it was unworkable. These phases came straight out of the 2001 Arab Conference in Beirut. What makes a person sick to their stomach is to see that the only entity to suffer by accepting this farce of a document will be the Israeli people, and this bloody road map is sanctioned by the UN, EU, Russia and THE US. BETRAYAL!

Isn't there a sign over it that says "Arby's Makes Fries"? Yes its sick humor, from my son.

Yep...there is already a Palestinian State...it's called Jordan.

Here's an old (pre-9/11) article on the subject by George Will that you might like, called
A War and Then a Wall. Seems like the only realistic solution to the problem.
