Do a thought experiment. Replace Communist and Socialist with Nazi and Fascist. Would we consider her a victim?

"The Communist Party has been on the Ohio ballot ever since I've been voting. A guy named Gus Hall was the candidate many times."

That's hard to believe. Sure would like to see a copy of a ballot.

McCarthy was conveniently brought out of the dust...good timing for which party? (too easy...no points for answer)

Read the Atlanta rag review of this same story.
Poor innocent communists, evil congressman etc.

No mention of the Vernona intercepts at all.

If you have time, you may be interested in articles by Dr. Yeager. He's a Commanche indian and has his own site at http://badeagle.com and also writes for frontpagemag.com

Yeager explores Communism of the sovereign indian tribes and points to Democrats as receiving funds from tribes.

These terror regimes had already murdered more than 50 million people. The bloodiest thugs in history. Then the left wonders why the "anti-communists" of the fifties had their blood pressure up when these "stars" gave answers like these. "Hollywood Stupid" didn't start yesterday.

If the issue had been secret infiltration of government by the KKK, these people would have been screaming for blood, and the Bill of Rights be damned (even though the Communist Party has been responsible for millions of murders versus maybe a few hundred lynchings by the Klan over the course of a century

This created a huge dilemma for the scheming Kennedy: on the one hand, he'd have loved to have the intermarriage of the ambitious Kennedys with the wildly popular McCarthy; on the other, there was a religious problem: while both Joes were Catholic, McCarthy was divorced & remarried, a major no-no in those days. . .

McCarthy was married only once.

McCarthy was right. He was right, he was right, he was right.

Communists should have been and still should be ex-patriated to an island in the middle of nowhere with only the bare necessities to manage a rather uncomfortable level of survival.

Of course, these days, we might not find an island large enough for all of them...

If it weren't for his tactics, would we still be talking about it today?

I know this thread is old but the House Committe on UnAmerican Activities investigated Hollywood(although they perpetuate the myth that it was that demon McCarthy.)

Exploration of the real McCarthy has been going on here at FR for over a year. Ann Coulter's book Treason is climbing the charts and deals with the issue extensively. Buy it today.

It is time for an examination of the liberal smear of a good man. Bring it all on, the facts back Joe. We'll see who among the GOP has the guts to speak truth.

Unless I am mistaken, Paul Robeson was a Communist sympathizer at the very least. I think he even made a trip to the Soviet Union to see the "worker's paradise" up close.

It would not at all surprise me if articles like this are leaked to counteract Ann Coulter's new book, which I understand is selling quite well.
