This Washington Post series reads like an attempted hit-piece, but lack any substantive allegations of wrongdoing. In fact, the criticisms echo the usual whining from the established environmental movement dominated by radical left wingers who are jealous of TNC success and influence. Not surprising that TNC has done so well based on its approach of working cooperatively with the private sector, focusing on compromise rather than confrontation, finding creative conservation solutions based on mutual interests, etc. The Earth Firsters, Sierra Clubers, etc. just cannot stand to see an organization of non-radicals stealing their thunder.

These are the most informative articles I've studied on this subject they are from Range Magazine. Henry Lamb also has a great website, ego-logic online that often posts articles about TNC.
Not all conspiracies are theories quite often the they are true. These articles have been well researched by people who are credible and have spent many years working on both sides of the issue.
The first link is more informative and you do have to download the PDF file, but theres an excerpt available so you can see if its worht your time.
