What the heck is wrong in Canada? My mother was born there and must be turning over in her grave when she sees what has become of that formerly wonderful country.

Nearly as I can tell, the Canadian gov't is set up so that the socialists, once they got into power and decided to rule that nation, enact laws making it nearly impossible to get rid of them. Don't know what they're going to do, but they are the only ones who can do anything at all about the situation.

You know, in a way, Canadians, Brits and Europeans remind me a bit of lazy, ignorant whites in the South decades ago: no matter how shiftless a man was, no matter how little he had because of his shiftlessness, he could always say he was at least better than the blacks. He wasn't, of course. Usually he wasn't as good, and it really made him mad if any blacks did well.

So it is with the Canadians, building their identity on being "better than the Americans." It's a very poor thing to do, and keeps them from accomplishing what they want.

Not all Canadians are like this, of course, but an awful lot of them are.

Simple - we've got a bunch of incompetent, bleeding-heart bozos running our federal government, something that shows no signs of changing in the foreseeable future - all thanks to the voters of Ontario and Quebec, who keep re-electing these clowns in perpetuity.
