Hewitt Calls Visit 'Amazing Experience'

POSTED: 10:35 a.m. EDT May 1, 2003
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Bo Derek are supporting the U.S. military by visiting injured troops in the hospital.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bo DerekThe actresses visited they visited troops who are recovering from their Iraq war injuries at Washington, D.C.'s Bethesda Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

It was not a first-time visit for Derek. She often visits injured servicemen and women in military hospitals.

It was a first for Hewitt, however, who said meeting the troops "was an amazing experience."

Derek, 46, has appeared in such films as "10," "Tommy Boy" and most recently, "Malibu's Most Wanted."

Hewitt, 24, has starred in the hit television series "Party of Five," and has had roles in such films as "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Heartbreakers" and "The Tuxedo."

We see so many of the HollyWierd spouting.
Well here is a nice little piece on HollyWood that shows there are a few decent and caring people on the left coast.

Jennifer is a hottie too.

To bad she killed her career to try to be a singer.

Now now, be nice.
It's not a bad album, just bad marketing. BareNaked is the title and it has nothing to do with nudity.

Jennifer is a hottie too.

An under-appreciated fact about Jennifer Love Hewitt is that she is the reincarnation of the 12th-dynasty heretic ancient Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaton.

Trust me, not everyone knows this!

Thanks. Pretty lady but much too young to gain my interest.

The problem is, young ladies often have very firm and toned bodies. I will not have a relationship with someone whose body is so firm and toned that I fear being crushed.

Now, if she stops exercising and eats more jelly doughnuts . . . maybe.

It warms the heart, heals and spreads good will. I was a kid in WWII and was inspired by Gable, Stewart, Wayne, Mitchem, et al.

We all should support these daring, conservative, artists whenever the opportunity presents.

Jennifer also played Audrey Hepburn in a decent made for TV movie about Hepburn's life a couple years ago. She did a pretty good job as Audrey.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has such a beautiful saintly quality about her. I hope that she doesn't run afoul of Hollywood's system of patronage and incestuous nepotism over politics. Ever seen Colin Powell smile so effusively?:

Derek is a strong Republican supporter, saw her with Bush here in Dearborn MI just prior to the 2000 elections. Still great looking, not much in brains but has settled down with a nice man and isn't trying to resurrect past glories. She has her own life post-hollywood and seems to be content. God bless her!

Here's Bo:

Sigh....For fourteen years, we had a young lady in our office who was the spitting image of Bo Derek. She retained her sweet innocence for the whole time - Lord only knows how!

Off topic - original article pegs Bo at 46....I've just turned 56, and was always under the impression that she was MUCH less than 10 years younger than I be; a little PR at work maybe?

JLH and Akhenaton go into a bar. The barkeep looks up and asks, "Why the long faces?"

During the Korean War, Bo's husband, John Derek was in the California National Guard (40th Inf. Div.). When the division was federalized, sent to Hawaii, Japan and then to Korea, John stayed home. I've never figured that one out.

I met Bo Derek several years ago on an airplane. Such a beautiful woman! Skin like porcelein. Only about 5'2". And as nice and unassuming as you could ever ask for. Sweet lady. Glad to see her making this choice.

Bo Derek was made an honorary Green Beret for her support of SF. I don't know how long she has been supporting the military, but she also visited recovering SF soldiers who were wounded in Afghanistan.

How about getting back to what they did, guys! Sheesh!! (LOL!)

If what they did was not done for publicity reasons, then it is a wonderful thing. Think of how many of those troops must have felt with these great gals giving them a bit of attention.

I wasn't aware that Derek had done this before. Very commendable!

Can't tell what she's channeling. It's a collage I flung together in great haste 3-4 years ago when I made the great discovery. Maybe the slapdash editing is part of the problem.
