After we busted some trolls and proved a lot of left wing news stories to be bogus, I decided to make that my tag line.

We made a female DU Troll so mad that she/it got zotted in a total of 12 replies. She posted the ridiculous thread and made the twelfth reply to our replies. Her reply was so vile. she was zotted! It was like a bunch of rotweilers with a rat. One of us would grab the rat and shake it and toss it into the air for another to have fun with.

Actually it was on 30 something artifacts that were missing, and they were obviously stolen by the museum's staff.

I sent that story to the Slimes editors and asked them to front page what really happened.

Of course it won't happen. The NY Slimes doesn't report news. It tries to create the myths and lies of the left posing as news. Now thanks to Free Republic, they can't get by with it anymore.

Yet the NY Slimes is considered by many New Yorkers to be the greatest newspaper in the world. I believe that they are the most dangerous of all.

I wonder how embarrassing it must be for them to have their glorious NY Times being proven totally wrong, so many times, on so many issues.

Must be scarey living to see your distorted view of world events blown out of the water day after day, week after week.

They love the NY Slimes and CNN. They never see anything wrong with what either says or does. They hate conservative news papers and Fox news.

Like you, I can't remember a single story that has been posted on Free Republic in years that hasn't lies, prop spin or actual hate posing as news like GW not having Gravitas.

It amazes me how hypocritcally brain-washed the libs are.

My inlaws live up near Santa Rosa (close to San Francisco). They came out for a visit and I always watch Fox News. My mother-in-law's first comment (in a degrading voice) was: "Oh - You watch that trash do you!?"

This was nothing new to me (married 26 years) and I said simply: "It's not trash, it's the truth, and it would do you some good to hear it once in awhile."

I had to leave the room and as soon as I returned - BLAM: Wolf Blitzer was sliming up my 46" Sony Trinitron!

I have yet to see the word "Gravitas" in a dictionary, and I've looked in 3. Did they invent the word?

The original Latin of gravitas meant weight or gravity. So the rats at the NY Slimes were saying that GW was a light weight.

In the Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language (1989 Edition) etymology entry for the word gravity is the following:

[< L gravitat- (s. of gravitas). heaviness, equiv. grav(is) heavy, grave + -itat- -ity]

Which in my unstudied understanding means that the word gravity descended from the Latin of gravitat-, which is also the stem of the word gravitas, meaning having heaviness or being heavy or grave.

The real meaning of all this is that the journalists (a.k.a. ex-highschool thesbians who couldn't find an agreeable major in college other than journalism that would actually result in a paying job) decided to impress the masses with a little Latin (since the unwashed masses don't know Latin or would otherwise think that it's the native tounge of Latin-Americans). They use words like this in their arrogance thinking it lends credibility to their claim because we're stoopid and they're so smart 'cause they use such fancy words. Therefore they must be telling the truth. ;)

The NYT was pushed on NY Junior HS Students in the 50's as the paper to read. I remember delivering them to the classrooms as an inschool newsboy. The only other paper available was the Herald Tribune, but the Times got the bulk of the deliveries. Times indoctrination started with the young.
