Dammit, release the damn thing and don't whitewash it into such a state of blandness that it's meaningless.
It's our information. The country deserves to have this out in the open.
Yes, we do have a need to know that trumps any other considerations.
Remember 9/11?
Enough of this delaying.

Ping.

""we hope to complete the process by the end of this month." " A month before it's to be released the politicians start demanding that it be released... sigh.

For one, I'd like to see the classified report shown to Senators - the one that "shocked" some Senators who revealed that a certain country was named as facilitating the attacks.

This isn't that one? Thought it was.
Wish someone had the cojones to leak the Senate report.
It'd be the act of a true patriot.
To: swarthyguy
yawn. Another lame attempt at blaming the CINC.

The Bush administration also consistently have fought identifying top officials, including the president and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, who may have received warnings in 2001 that bin Laden's network planned to hijack commercial aircraft. Shocking, eh?

Go back to sleep.

Better late than never and maybe will start a flood of information that might include the more detailed Senate report.
THe American public may have demanded the heads of the countries named in this report instead of Iraq. Now that Iraq is liberated and on its way to a better future, there should be no valid reason not to release the facts about 9/11/

yawn. Another lame attempt at blaming the CINC. You have noticed that Goss is a Republican, haven't you?
To: swarthyguy
You all of all people know why this is not being released at this time.
Does the word Magic ring a bell?
We are still identfying and finding out about more al qaeda thugs in this country before 9/11 and probably still here.

The report I'm thinking about was presented to the Senate by some intel agency collaboration - about 50 pages long I think.
I really doubt the big dispute is about "the warnings" (as if there aren't such all the time) and the "flight schools." There's bigger "secrets" I'd imagine.

Hold it, I have my Official Government [Doublespeak) Dictionary handy.
Yep here it is:
"sensitive information" see especially, "embarassing information"
To: swarthyguy; *balkans
As shocking as the fact that some of the 9/11 terrorists trained/lived on a naval base in Florida? (reported in Newsweek-I have the links) or that this 9/11 cell had links to the Balkan's jihad and and thus may have piggybacked via the open door/links provided by Clinton's black-ops against the Serbs/Russians to get into the States? (links available upon request).

I despise them all.
Open records
Open government meetings
Less taxes
So called conservative republicans are just as bad as democrats.
Thousands of people are dead because our American government was too corrupt, lazy and stupid to do what it was supposed to do,protect us.
I cant wait to see if Miss Condi dares to run for VP.
"No one ever dreamed that terrorists would use planes to ram into buildings".......
If she was a dem and Bush was too, every Republican would be calling for impeachment.
They are guilty.
They are trying to CYA.
Well, they dont fool me!
