Next step:
"The Tax Authority and Swedish Government have determined that all names bestow implications of class and heritage, which are not permissible in our egalitarian society. Henceforth all Swedes will now receive Tax Authority assigned numbers as a replacement for use in all settings."

"That is Scary! The gov. tells you what you can and can't name your child there!?!?!?! We have names here in the south that would knock your socks off.... A girl named Pajama pronounced Pa-zja- may. Vagina prounounced Va-zjin-ay. Shithead prounounced Sha-theed."
That is scary. I'm torn between supporting the parents' freedom to bestow their choice of names on their children, and the need to nip in the bud whatever stupidity causes people to do things like you mentioned.

The authority said it wasn't suitable because it might "lead to discomfort for the person who uses it." The named person, or someone calling out to 'Supes'?
Either way, I don't see how it's the Tax Authority's business to decide what names might be uncomfortable, whether for the name-bearer, or the name-caller.
There are some spooky controls over there in Europe.

It's certainly not as bad as the infamous "Lemonjello" and "Orangejello."

Could they keep submittiing names that they knew would be turned down, for the rest of the child's life, so he would never have to pay taxes?

It's not just a matter of individual liberty - Sweden has a state church. The type of naming practice the Swedish tax authority is most opposed to is very typical of anti-pedobaptist churches, e.g. Baptist, Christian, Seventh Day Baptist, etc. These people quite correctly wait until you reach the age of understanding before you are baptised, hence the name, anti-pedobaptist.
The state church does it differently! They are pedobaptists. Many other kinds of churches are also pedobaptists.
What the Swedish tax people are doing is using the power of the state to crush even the most minor uprising of the anti-pedobaptists in Scanderhoovia.
And that's just the beginning of tyranny there. It wasn't just poverty and famine that drove over half the population out of the country in the 1800s, and it hasn't gotten much better.
