Not sure if the truck stalled, if it had trouble seeing the train coming due to the trees near the track, or just thought it could beat it across. The engineer might know if he recovers.

Those are busy tracks, but I think it was a dirt road with no crossing gates where the accident occured.

Crossing gates are very important. When crossing gates were installed in our area, the expense prevented installation at some existing crossings.

Those crossings were simply closed.
