The failure of al Qaeda to launch terrorist attacks against the United States or its allies during the war in Iraq has bolstered a growing belief among U.S. intelligence agencies that 19 months of worldwide counterterrorism operations and arrests have nearly crippled the organization.

Now, I just want to give a reminder to all the freepers out there, to give to the anti-afghan war protesters a little note. Al Quada was supposedly claiming that all they wanted was for american troops to leave Saudi Arabia, well, we're going to be leaving now, does that mean, that we never ever have to worry about them again?

Of course we have to worry about them. Future Al Qaeda are being born every day.
I'm not surprised that they haven't pulled anything recently; we're on full alert and these are not the type to rush the enemy head-on. They're back-shooting cowards; I could carve from a banana a man with more backbone than an Islamic terrorist.
That said, yes, we've bloodied their noses, but let's not be foolish enough to believe that they are gone. They're simply waiting for us to let down our guard so they can kill more innocents....

This can't be. Bush is a moron. I thought he was screwing up everything. He was selected. He's a frat boy. He's a drunk. He's going to be impeached. Hillary, what do you make of this?

My theory is this... Al Quada is waiting for the 2004 elections....if a Democrat is elected they will strike and
strike hard...expecting only the weakest and most ineffectual of responses.

Surprise! The so-called War on Terror will quickly fade into the background, because it was simply a final action in the Gulf War, which is now concluded.
