My wife works at Saks and this is true. She along with the rest of my family thinks this is absolutely rediculous, but she does not know the true reasons behind this. She was told the same line about the Patriot Act, but if other organizations aren't doing the same thing it makes you wonder.

I am tired of the fact that the actual usage or carry of federal reserve notes is supposed to significy potential criminal activity.

Well, maybe it depends upon where one lives and which Saks, one shops at. All I know, is that I have yet to get one of these things and I am one of those " privilege " card holders. LOL

Maybe they suspect " drug " money, or something else. Damned if I know just WHAT the real reason behind this is.

I am rather skeptical about this too nopardons! I am not fortunate enough to shop there, but I sure as heck don't believe they would turn down 350 dollars cash to pay a bill! Piddly amout anyway, you and I could spend that much in 3 minutes flat! :-)

I live in Texas and I see people paying with a wad of $100 bills all the time. Usually the poorest looking people have lots of cash.

Maybe the real issue here is that Saks wants to drive off the riff-raff. Sorta like the bar that starts playing Big Band music to make the people with the nose rings go away. If you're not the sort of person who has a platinum American Express card, Saks doesn't want you around :)

On one pair of shoes ! LOL

I'm going into Manhattan tomorrow and shall go to Saks. Maybe I'll see if they'll take cash. I have the feeling, that they don't want anyone sending this kind of cash through the mail and this doesn't mean that " cash sales ", in store is no good.

Hope you're doing well, old friend. :-)

What is this BS, these same liberal media punks supported these 'reporting laws' under the Clinton White House, their just scared now that a person (Bush) they have demonized is now in the White House.
