Get out of the U.N.! Joseph Farah warns globalists conspiring to take power from America

America is beginning to see it – really beginning to see it.

What are we beginning to see?

There's no place for the United States in the United Nations.

As I say in my new book, "Taking America Back," it's time for all Americans to stand up tall against the march toward global political and economic unions that afford the American people no accountability, recognize no inalienable rights and create supranational governments that can only lead to tyranny on a worldwide scale.

Globalism represents government encroachment's final frontier. Having proved itself totally incapable of guarding individual rights, personal freedom and national sovereignty even under the best of circumstances, as in the United States, globalists intend to take their social-engineering and wealth-transfer experiments worldwide.

By definition, it is un-American to submit sovereign citizens of the United States to laws, treaties, regulations and foreign authorities to which they have no accountability. Last time I checked, we Americans don't elect any representatives to the United Nations or any other global body.

World government is a profoundly un-American idea. And, worse yet, the global conspirators – and there is simply no other way to describe them – are planning to hand over control of our lives and livelihoods to worldwide authorities who would like nothing better than to see America knocked down a notch or two, all in the name of "leveling the playing field."

They'll use any means necessary to get us there – including lying about and hyping crises, both real and imagined, such as global warming, AIDS and overpopulation. They are all just means to an end.

And what is that end? It's the further centralization and consolidation of power – this time on a worldwide scale. That's what all these multinational treaties are really about. They are moving us toward global governance – away from the constitutional principles and foundations of the American republic, away from limited government, away from checks and balances.

Many Americans still buy the lie that only a worldwide body such as the United Nations can really move the world closer to peace. It's not only the latest developments that show that to be a lie. The track record of the international body over many years is abysmal to say the least.

For example, remember the horror of the Rwanda tribal genocide in 1994? In a few months, as many as 1 million people were killed. Who was the United Nations secretary-general back then? It was an Egyptian by the name of Boutros Boutros-Ghali. He and the U.N. were criticized for standing by while the slaughter took place.

But less known is the fact that Boutros-Ghali actually played a leading role in supplying weapons to the Hutu regime that carried out the campaign of genocide against the Tutsi tribe during his tenure as top executive at the U.N.

As minister of foreign affairs in Egypt, Boutros-Ghali facilitated an arms deal in 1990, which was to result in $26 million of mortar bombs, rocket launchers, grenades and ammunition being flown from Cairo to Rwanda. The arms were used by Hutus in attacks which led to up to a million deaths.

And that's really the problem with these international government bodies.

The U.N. is not just, as many Americans suspect, a group of incompetent busybodies. It is, instead, a global criminal enterprise determined to shift power away from individuals and sovereign nation-states to a small band of unaccountable international elites.

America has no business in the United Nations.

Nowhere in the Constitution do I see any provision for our federal government participating in an organization of nations that has dreams of governing the world.

I do, however, see in the writings of the founders many warnings about foreign entanglements and permanent alliances that can threaten to draw this sovereign nation into the conflicts of the old world.

If the U.N. were just a debating society, I guess my problems with it would be minimal. But too many Americans seem to think this country needs the permission of the U.N. to act in its own self-interest, to protect the security of the nation.

We should not be willing to host it any longer. We should not be willing to be members any longer. We should not be willing to subsidize this organization any longer. It's time to pull the plug on the U.N.

Let's go about our business as a sovereign nation. Let the American people, and the American people alone, chart their own destiny, protect their own interests, take care of their own security needs.

I hope that President Bush is listening. The "Great Whore of Babylon" is no place for a Christian administration.

We have to stay in the UN to block votes against us. Outside of that, they are a debating society for socialist and dictators.

Revelation 18
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

That's about the most absurd reasoning there is. Without the US, there IS NO UN!! Without our money, without our peacekeeping forces around the world, without our stamp of approval, there isn't a single UN anything that stands on its' own weight. As it is now, we're paying for our own subjugation.

Correct. We must retain a say-so. We can't run and hide. We did with our own education system and and now the Liberals have total control of it. Same with labor unions, etc.

Wrong. There was a Soviet Union and a United Arab Republic and OPEC, etc without the US. The UN wants us and our influence out of their way.

Your "corrects" and "wrongs" are both wrong. The UN is nothing now and will collapse when we leave. And we HAVE to leave, both on political and moral grounds. America can't be part of a gang where Libya and Cuba are in charge of human rights.

Agree! This party meeting with dictators and tyrants is getting too time-consuming and expensive. Does anyone really want our military to police the world on the UN's orders?

The US and Japan together constitute 40% of the UN budget, and Japan is looking askance at them for the situation in Korea.

But the UN still needs adult attention and supervision. If we could provide that, but cop out, then that makes us part of the problems that may result. It's just like dealing with children and other common challenges.

You forgot Iraq, which chairs the UN Disarmament Conference (?). Your reasons for leaving the UN are among the reasons for remaining there and exerting our influence. Even Democrats know that.
