WASHINGTON -- The Jewish community responded enthusiastically when Senator Joseph I. Lieberman joined the presidential ticket in 2000, a move many saw as recognition of their long support for the party of Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. As they had for every election in decades, Jewish voters overwhelmingly cast their ballots for the Democrats.

The only hope for Israel is a Republican president. No democrat will ever be strong enough or have the will to do the job necessary.

The Jewish left think that religious Christians are a bigger enemy than Arabs who have vowed to push them into the sea......most will NEVER support a Christian Conservative.....NEVER! I live in one of those Jewish families.

Putting a Democrat into the White House won't help either group.

Christian Right Talks Of Bolting GOP In 2004??***"If Republican leaders cannot mount a vigorous defense of marriage, then pro-family voters perhaps should begin to reconsider their loyalty to the party," warned Ken Connors, president of Family Research Council and a close affiliate of Dobson's Focus on the Family. Along with other leaders of the politically powerful pro-family movement, Connors was appalled at the "muted defense" of Santorum, R-Pa., who has been under attack by the gay rights lobby and its liberal allies in the media and the Democrat party. That failure, Connors said ominously, raises the question whether the GOP is the best vehicle for resisting the Democrats' radical political agenda. Connors recently wrote a scathing memo attacking the Republican leadership to pro-family leaders.***

IMO, one reason Jews vote Left is because they think if enough authority can be concentrated in central government, it might protect them from anti semitism.

Ironically, doing this will probably have the opposite effect, magnifying the problem, sort of like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Most of the religious right seem to be the very finest people, as far as I can see, judging from those I have met here, but there is apparently an element within it worthy of being feared.

''It's part of the Bush-Rove strategy of marginal gains,'' Sabato said. ''They're not going to carry the Jewish-American vote, but they can increase their performance from 2000, and in so doing make it much more difficult for a Democrat to win.''

These people just don't get it. Bush did what he did because it was the right thing to do. He's also had to clean up a lot of other messes left over from his predecessor. Meanwhile, the RATs keep looking at it as if everything is done for political gain. Until they start to realize that the American people want an honest person that is Pro-America in the White House, the only way a RAT will get into the White House is by invitation.

"got in trouble because he said Jews can't get into heaven." Would the reporter kindly discuss this issue. Did she find some place in the Torah that speaks about heaven after death? As the great theologian Woody Allen said, "Dead is dead." (Hannah and her sisters, Crimes and Misdemeanors.)I think this is the Jewish traditon and that the Christian tradition deals with Life and the end of death.

This type of commentary is about the shallow reporting done in the media today.

The article is all about votes, but there are relatively few Jewish voters. What's more important is, if there's a significant shift in Jews' party allegiances, what happens to Democrat fundraising?

I believe that traditional Christian teaching is that no man shall enter heaven except through Jesus, so an inference of such is not at all evidence of anti semitism.

Here's a quote: "No man shall come to the Eternal Kingdom of the Father except through My Son."

quite true. the notion of "life after death" and "heaven" largely begins with the new testament. the essene jews of qumran appear to have been among the minority of jews who believed in an afterlife.

would be interested to see a survey among practising jews which determined how many believe they are destined for an eternal heavenly life after death.

Democrats set up shadow groups to raise soft money They fear being swamped by rivals in 2004 elections -*** WASHINGTON -- Democrats are kicking off a backdoor way of financing their 2004 congressional campaigns today with the very type of unlimited donations from corporations, unions, and individuals that many party leaders had vowed to flush from the political system.***

JEws who vote Democrat are slitting their own throat. The left pushes for liberal immigration laws & guess who has their bags packed and waiting.......Mohommad and his cousins. I believe Muslims are strarting to out number Jews in this country which will mean our politicians will pander to them first & Muslims will have a greater say in foreign policy.

Our leftist campuses now view Israel as the international terrorist and have taken up the Palestinian cause.

Certainly have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to see that's true. The LIBERAL media certainly adds to that perception.
