Please tell me we didn't outsource trash pickup on naval ships to locals. Get ready to investigate the Muslims on board.

I has been my life experience that trash receptacles don't explode on their own - they require some assistance.

That is exactly what I'm thinking!!! I have over 20 years in the Navy and have seen and heard of some bizarre accidents (warships are dangerous places)but I'm having a hard time imagining what could have "accidently" been placed in a trash container to cause an explosion of that magnitude!!!
