Asylum tearing UK apart

BRITAIN’S asylum system is today revealed as a total SHAMBLES from top to bottom.

A shock report by MPs shows bogus refugees are flooding into the country.

Yet the Government seems unable to deal with the growing crisis.

The report by the all-party Home Affairs Select Committee also reveals that:

THE number of asylum-seekers arriving on our shores has soared from 4,223 in 1982 to 110,700 last year.

THE Home Office has no idea how many who have been refused asylum have stayed and slipped into the population.

GANGS of traffickers have grabbed control of the immigration system.

PROMISES made by ministers to eject thousands of fake refugees are impossible to keep, and

OUR benefits system makes Britain a magnet for cheats.

The study by the Labour-dominated committee — published days after the racist British National Party gained footholds in several town halls — also warned the problem could lead to extreme politics. The MPs fear “social unrest” could erupt across the land unless solutions are found by the Government.

They demanded the immediate removal of cheats, saying they should be locked up prior to deportation if they are likely to go on the run or are seen as a criminal threat.

They called for deals with other countries so bogus refugees can be easily repatriated.

And they warned PM Tony Blair the crisis will deepen until the public sees that cheats are being turfed out.

Liberals who refuse to acknowledge the scale of the problem were accused of sticking their heads in the sand.

The report calls the rising number of asylum-seekers “clearly unsustainable”.

The MPs declared: “If allowed to continue unchecked, it could overwhelm capacity to cope, leading inevitably to social unrest. It’s evident the efficient removal of asylum-seekers whose claims have failed is a pre-condition for the credibility of the entire asylum process.”

The MPs blasted the Home Office’s inability to say how many cheats have slipped the net.

Their report said: “It’s very difficult to address the problem effectively in the absence of reliable statistics.

“It’s not satisfactory that the Government is unable to offer even a rough estimate of the number of failed asylum-seekers remaining in the UK.

“It is difficult to know the extent of the problems caused by absconding. It is unacceptable the Home Office simply does not know what proportion of failed asylum seekers abscond.”

The report confirms suspicions that the BNP’s recent local election victories were down to the Government’s failure to control immigration.

It says: “There are signs this may already be happening. It will lead to a growing political backlash which will in turn lead to the election of extremist parties with extreme solutions.”

Mr Blair vowed in February to halve the number of asylum-seekers by September. And ministers have pledged to kick out 30,000 cheats every year. But the MPs said their promise only served to raise false expectations among voters.

The report says: “We deprecate the setting of wholly unrealistic targets.

“They can only prove demoralising for all concerned. We are at a loss to understand the basis for the belief this target was achievable.”

The alert over our inviting benefits system was sounded by Rezgar Ghafor, of Oxfordshire social services.

The expert told the MPs: “The welfare system does encourage many economic migrants to exploit the weaknesses in the system under the name of ‘asylum seekers’.

On the villains trafficking asylum-seekers, the committee said: “It cannot be right to leave migration in the hands of criminal gangs, as to a large extent it is at the moment.

“Nor can it be right to admit only those who can afford to pay the large sums demanded by traffickers.”

The MPs said the key to tackling mass illegal immigration was a robust but humane deportation system.

And they demanded a £20million scheme to reinstate port controls to count migrants going in and out of Britain.

Home Secretary David Blunkett will publish the latest migrant figures in a fortnight.

Home Office minister Beverley Hughes welcomed some parts of the report last night.

She said: “I am pleased the committee has recognised the importance of the removal of those with no right to be here to an effective immigration policy, and the appropriate use of detention to support that.”

# NEARLY 250,000 non-EU immigrants will enter Britain every year, the independent think-tank MigrationWatch UK predicts.

It said official statistics fail to estimate those who sneak in and visitors who over-stay.

It added: “The Home Office view appears to be that, since they cannot be counted, they should be ignored.”

I have read that the "nature" of the local towns, the Pubs in England, has changed completely - due to the influx of Arabs, which this article doesn't state.

And what does the influx of Mexicans portend for us here at home? I get really mad every time I see someone still dark from the Mexican sun, can't speak much English yet, being shown around our supermarkets or our stores by their relatives who are already here. I live in No. VA BTW, and we are being overrun in this Country. It is no longer just the border states who are experiencing their Hospital emergency rooms being used for primary care. It is happening here in VA as well. And to go to the DMV, to get tags or license renewal is to be totally disgusted. The last time I had to go, I was the ONLY Caucasian in the room of 200 people. All I saw were Asians, Middle Easterners, Mexicans, and others from Cent. America and So. America. It is another reason I plan on doing everything online from here on out. It makes me too mad to hear all the languagues being spoken, and to see, up close and personal, what is happening to America.

If we don't do something about our immigration policies, the nature of America will be altered forever and I personally do not think for the better.

The Asians (in the UK, this means Indians and Pakistanis) and blacks (from the Carribean and more recently Africa) have had a large presence in the UK since WWII, when they were first brought in to handle wartime labor shortages. As a matter of fact, there was once open immigration from these countries (that were part of the Empire) until the late 1960s I believe. I don't know about Arabs, as I did not see many when I was in London back in '91 (although many wealthy Arabs keep homes there).

If you want to see the effects an influx of Arabs can cause to an area, you can go closer to home to my nabe in Brooklyn, the check out the ladies who dress in tents and the men screaming in Arabic on their cell phones all hours of the day (who the hell are they calling anyway?).

One thing that you learn from living in New York (or Miami, where I lived for three years) is that the Second Generation of ANY ethnic group prefers English as their Lingua Franca and typically only use Chinese/Spanish/Russian, etc. when talking with their parents. I don't think we are in danger of "losing the language" (like American English is anything to brag about anyway), but a constant stream of immigration will produce a constant presence of NEW immigrants who will, naturally, prefer to stay within their ethnic enclaves.

Your tag line contains the phrase "God bless President George W. Bush" which I of course also agree with.

But the plain truth is the President isn't concerned about illegal immigration, in fact he welcomes it. If not for 9/11, an amnesty-like doctrine & guest-worker program would have already been enacted. Remember when "family reunification" was the WH mantra RE illegal immigrants? But not to reunite them in Mexico, oh no, the extended absent family members would come to America.

Face it: Buisness generally want the cheaper labor force, retailers want their huge families consuming goods and services, demographers see their high birth rates as sustaining US population growth thereby sustaining economic activity, politicians see all those voters ready to be bought by the party doling out the most in giveaways.

President Bush's "good friend" Vincente Fox wants open borders as a part of NAFTA. He will get them eventually.

I love President Bush -- but not on his immigration policy. He knows better, having governed Texas he's seen the havoc wreaked by an unchecked illegal influx.

The politicians will sell-out all of us for a few votes. Sad, very sad.

The last time I was in England and taking a cab to Heathrow all the driver did was complain about the Asian invasion.

He said he couldn't wait to retire and move to Spain because that's where all the English were heading.

I asked him how the Spanish felt about that and,to his credit,he took it with good humor.

There are too simple reasons why it has gotten "this far". First, the leftists who control the media/academic/government elites in the US and the UK are products of the 60s era. They fervently believe that western civilization is the root of all evil, and they are fanatically committed to destroying the West by any means available. Their chosen method is mass immigration of non-western peoples into the Western heartland. Our culture is not "a proposition". It is inherent in who we are. Once we are demographically displaced, our culture will cease to exist.

Secondly, we have been sold out by the leaders of western business enterprises. They want cheap labor, and the easiest way to get it is to import vast amounts of unskilled third world peasants who will work for peanuts.

The final insult to all of this is that both above groups of elites have carefully calculated that they can remain safe from the negative social fallout of mass immigration. Their kids go to private schools. They live in gated communities. There are no Honduran squatter camps in Cape Cod near the Kennedy family yacht launch.
