[history]
U.S. black leaders have failed to get African and Caribbean immigrants to think of themselves as "black" and have created a rift among the groups, a panel on diversity said yesterday.
"When we talk of housing disparities, education problems ... many [immigrants] don't think that affects them," said William Spriggs, executive director of the National Urban League Institute for Opportunity and Equality.

"Black politicians ... haven't been able to get [black immigrants] to buy into what white America is all about, about what white privilege is. Immigrants don't come here with that understanding. We have to change our language to let them know that these are their problems." Outstanding! I think this is real progress. I'd rather we all thought of ourselves as Americans first, rather than what race or what our ancestors' culture was. I'm proud to be Welsh but I'm much, much more proud to have been born in the U.S.A.

I'd rather we all thought of ourselves as Americans first And so, apparently, would most immigrants, black or otherwise. The so-called 'civil rights' leadership in the US sells the concept that America is fundamentally flawed, that equal opportunity is a sham, requiring racial preferences and give-aways to make things equal. Obviously, anyone who believes that wouldn't be likely to immigrate here in the first place, would they?

...is to emphasize their common ancestry of slavery. If your ancestors weren't slaves, there is no link.
All races have been slaves at one time or another throughout history.
None of the blacks living in the USA today have ever been slaves, except in their own minds and to the Democrap Party.

Many immigrants are not even aware of the "color line" that prevents minorities here from excelling.
...because they are too busy working hard and excelling.

The Onion couldn't have written it better. Most black immigrants I know detest American Black culture, some to the point of discouraging their children from spending too much time with African Americans. They are grateful for the opportunities they get here, don't play the victim, and don't buy into the race hustling.

Many immigrants are not even aware of the "color line" that prevents minorities here from excelling. Translation: Many immigrants refuse to be taken in by the BS of Jackson and company.

Instead of tryinig to infect immigrants with their poisonous victimhood, maybe these "leaders" should examine the values they are promoting within their communities. Immigrants I have encountered from just about every nation except western Europe believe in faith, family, and hard work all of which are antithetic to the race hustlers.

hmm, sounds like an opportunity to have Creole speaking Republican poll workers available to assist African-born immigrants in voting.

Let's try to create a problem where there is none. We call that a solution desperately seeking a problem.

Translation: How dare they rely on individual effort to improve their lot! Don't they know they're victims, and should be dependent on us? If enough people do that, we'll lose power!

Watch what happens when their children go through the public school system and then college. That is when they get them to change their thinking.

Obviously, anyone who believes that wouldn't be likely to immigrate here in the first place, would they? Nobody with ambition, which is why the hustlers and dividers need to recruit freeloaders to swamp our borders.
