So, here it goes: IF the economy tanks, Dean will be our next president. That's a guarantee.

Good grief! That would be horrifying. I can guarantee you that millions of Christians, both Protestant and Catholic, would turn out to vote against him. Remember, he signed America's first "civil union" legislation (read: homosexual marriage.)

Howard Dean is the most arrogant, self-righteous, humorless person I have ever see run for public office. He smolders with suppressed anger and has an absolutely fake smile.

I think most leftists exist on an enormous amount of suppressed anger. Hillary Clinton is a prime example. She hates middle-American values so much she can barely hold it in.

Had there been no Perot there never would have been a President Clinton. Clinton probably would have run and won the 1996 AR Senate seat (and maybe would today be a leading 2004 Pres candidate), but there would have been no Sen. Hillary. Vince Foster would still be alive and Chelsea would probably have a new little brother that looked a lot like Vince, ha ha ha.

As members of "minority" groups get off of wellfare and on their own, they will begin the drift towards Republicanism, as they see their hard-earned wages being siphoned off by RAT Giveaway Policies!

I do see Conservatism making some gains among minorities. Hopefully this continues. All blacks used to vote Republican. The Hispanics where I live all vote Republican also. Hopefully this increases.

And homeschooling is definately on the increase. It used to be fringe, now it is growing mightily. They are dedicated conservatives for personal freedom. And the authorities are not aware of all people that homeschool - I can tell you right now our numbers are vastly underestimated.

As the schools get worse (and we all know they are, every day) more and more people are turning to homeschooling. It's like living in a house after you have had an apartment. You never want to go back, The experience is so superior.

By the way, here is an article published on my homeschooling group in the St Petersberg Times last week, usually a totally liberal rag.

A problem is that conservatives become complacent too easily. Understandable since most are very hardworking with families.

But each time we become complacent we get a hugely destructive Democratic administration.

All it takes to turn America into Canada is for Americans to stand down from the culture war.

I want to see the Left defunded. Conservatives have to hold down jobs if they want to eat. Leftists get sinecures in government make-work programs, and spend their work time agitating for more. Who do you think paid for all those antiwar demonstrations? Answer: YOU DID!

In order to defund the Left, we have first to elect conservatives to represent us at every level of government...city, county, state and federal.

And THEN we have to search-and-destroy every grant that is being handed to the Left automatically.

This all will take a lot of work, and will only be successful as a grassroots attack. We can't wait for the fatcats in Washington of whatever political stripe to do anything that might cost them votes.

We have to make sure those in Washington know we are holding the most COSTLY votes they can ever lose.

"With the Democratic presidential candidates battling it out for a chance to be creamed by George W. Bush"

I love it!

"With the Democratic presidential candidates battling it out for a chance to be creamed by George W. Bush, reading the newspapers these days feels very much like 1972. The Democrats are moving left, the incumbent president is popular, and it looks like the Democrats may be out of power for decades. After 1972, the Democrats were bailed out by Watergate. This time, they'll need an act of God." -- article

What the author conveniently neglects to write is that no matter which major political controls the stewardship of our once great nation, we are spiraling towards the same end as all socialistic nations destined in a democracy. No matter which major political party you support, they claim the same mantra: Democracy. America is not a democracy. America is a Constitutional Republic but it doesn't matter much anymore .... we can't even vote ourselves back to life; the government has determined it knows best for all of us .... a contemporary democratic government of clowns, controlled by both democrats AND republicans.

"The only problem now is the minority vote."

Maybe if they'd get their collective head out of the democRAT @ss, they wouldn't BE so much of a problem because they'd actually be able to make their own decisions and contribute something of value to the democratic process.

.

Yeah, the worst nightmare to a free and unfettered People is your democracy. Stealing our rights and liberties; stealing our private property and taxing us to death (even beyond the grave) while dismissing the Constitution. Cool Democracy you describe.

"The liberals are self extinguishing. Between abortion, zero population growth and homosexuality, they have chosen the way of extinction."

I have been saying that for years. Fortunately, they do not seem to have the common sense to realize it and in that there is hope. I am reminded of a thread I saw a year or so ago at "that other place" where they were having an animated discussion about having to eventually have a civil war with conservatives, when suddenly it dawned on one of the bright bulbs that "FReepers are the ones with the guns". LOL!
