I think this law serves the interests of incumbents in Washington. It should have been called the Incumbents Protection bill. Everything one needs to know is illustrated by a simple fact, Starr is lead council for the RNC. If they wanted to overturn the law they wouldn't have selected Starr. In fact, all the protestations of the RNC avoid the central issue that the law was intended to prevent and that is another Forbes or Perot. I have called it the the anti-third, rich, candidate bill since its inception. Bush senior was burned by Perot and this will keep rich, opinionated populists off the ballot at the last minute and will keep them off the air. What do you think?
