Geez... What about using pepper spray? I'm not an animal rights whacko, but is seems like these dogs were having an understandable reaction to strangers in the house. Why turn it into a gunfight? Seems like a lot of cops are pretty gung-ho these days. I guess it's kind of understandable, considering what they have to go through, but still....

I've used pepper spray on dogs. From my experience it didn't work too well.

I'm guessing that when the constables went to take this guy into custody the dogs thought the owner was being attacked and then attacked the cops.

Did it say what kind of dogs they were? I didn't see any mention.
