?We need a king, not a president,? said the sheik?s son, Hussein Muzahin Ali Kareem. ?We want to live like Jordan, like Saudi, like England. We want to see medicine, food, streets. ... Every president who we have is a thief ? he do like Saddam.?

So, what was Saddam? It seems to me he was your "monarch" and king for the last 20 years. Try some republicanism... you just may grow to like it. Was it Franklin who we need to quote here: We are giving them a democracy, now we'll see if they can keep it.

But bringing free and fair elections to a country used to decades of dictatorship is still a massive challenge. Even among Kareem’s family, which supports the American presence, the feeling is that the country would be better with a restoration of a strong monarchy rather than a constitutional democracy.

People inately yearn for freedom, yet living freely must be learned because it requires the mutual discharge of personal responsibility.

Good news in Iraq? I'll be damned! Maybe FOX will report it, I doubt if any others will, it doesn't fit the "profile".

yeah, especially the part where the Sheik says he wants to show solidarity with U.S. troops---

The silence of the lamestream media is deafening.

So he disarms...!? He gave up some hardware, but how much did he keep, neatly stashed away somewhere, for future use or for support of those extremist thugs?
