There's a difference betweeen understanding the facts, and forcing your version down someone else's mouth.

I never watch Frasier, or Frazier, or whatever it is.
I'd rather tune in to "I Love Lucy", "Three's Company", or the Cartoon Channel, if there's nothing on Discovery, TLC, or the History Channel.

Good grief.
I'm forcing nothing down anyone's throat. The fact is that you keep returning to chew on what I said. If you don't like it, leave it alone.
I stated my opinion that Grammer was a Hollywood weenie and I still stand by that. I also stated that he was a coke addict and offered proof. I guess two coke arrests, a DUI, a parole violation, three marriages, an accusation of statutory rape and God knows what all are simply mistakes that everyone goes through, huh?
I'll also grant your sermonette on nobody being perfect, but the factless, kneejerking people like yourself do on behalf of a Hollywood mess like this dude just because somebody claims he is Republican/Christian/Conservative/good-guy-de-jour is a little much.
If you don't like my opinion and you don't like the facts, ignore them and move on. In the least, move your posts beyond that of the moralizing scold to something of substance. Have you been equally considerate, kind and thoughtful when others address the foibles of people like Bill & Hillary? I somehow doubt it.
Geez, the next thing you're going to tell me is that Bush is an ultra-conservative and Bill Bennet is being unjustly attacked...

Thank you, Jesus.

I never watch the show, but I do notice more and more leftist propaganda on TV shows, and in the movies. And the left is screaming that we have Foxnews! LOL! They just can't get their message out poor things. :-)
To: ladyinred
They don't have a message outside of "Kill America!"

"No one in the show said anything bad about anyone shooting guns at all"
Oh, come on, get real! They portrayed those who loved to shoot as militia, and Martin, who doesn't really care to shoot, as normal.
They portrayed gun shows as a place for militia, as Martin said he had never been.

"Let's not jump on Grammer. "
Why not? He is an Executive Producer and has say in what is aired. Granted, there are a number of concerns here, but take part, get credit.

I've never heard of him, but I am sure the DNC wuld never let him seriously run. The DNC is 100% Communist and the RNC is about the only place an American can get a decent shot, not a perfect shot, but a good one.

You could go on about Grammer being a "conservative", but that would deny his own remarks on the subject.
From your own link:
"Politically, Grammer called himself "kind of a liberal," a description he agreed could apply to the snooty Seattle shrink he plays on NBC."

I saw that, but I thought the fact that he was described in the item as a conservative and the fact that he has associated himself with President Bush in a positive way were more significant things, particularly in light of this discussion. (Liberal is the default position for any actor - when I'M guessing, anyway.) I didn't want to post it all (I don't know what the posting rules are for items like that), so I linked it in order that anyone who wanted to read the whole thing could do so.

Oh bull they did not portray all gun owners as nutty militia.
The only bias in the show was the one you had predeteremined to be there.

They didn't? Which one didn't they?

The father was the most common sense and he was a cop and went to the range twice a year because he liked it.

The "Executive Producer" title is often given as a perk to lead actors of tv shows. In such a case the position is a sinecure, with little responsibility. I'm not saying I know for sure that this is the case with Grammer, but since we don't know, it's premature to speculate that he could have altered the script.

Oh I don't know maybe the dozens of gun owners at the gun show they went to. The show never portrayed all gun owners as loopy, it showed the what 4 characters that niles ran into and became friends with as. They never suggested that all gun owers were.
They created a comedic foil in a sub plot for Niles.. oh look sissy boy finds out he likes guns and makes some "regular" guy friends. It was a set up for jokes and comedic conflict and nothing more.. "ooo a compound, just like the kennedy's" "Don't be rediculous, I'd never have gun in the same house as..... YOUR MOTHER"... etc.
The plotline nor the characters ever disparaged all gun owners or gun enthusiasts or even tried to. Only bias in that show was the one you had predetermined. Like Jesse Jackson and the ilk, inventing it where none existed.

You are missing out. I never liked those oldies. They were never funny to me. Ever.

(Why do liberals believe every ammendment is personal but the 2nd?)
To: HamiltonJay
There were four shooters in the show: 3 rednecks and Martin, the cop. Martin suggested that he only shoots twice a year and didn't have much of a love for shooting. He is also a cop. The other three loved shooting and guns
shows. They were militia.
Frasier even called people who loved to shoot, "nutcases".
Niles quickly lost his taste for shooting and ran quickly away once he found the shooters to be militia, as to suggest that we all should do the same.
Also, there wasn't a neutral or positive support by anyone but Martin when Niles started shooting. Instead, they all put the idea down as a "nutcase" or redneck type idea. Martin supported him, but quickly withdrew his support considering who the three were: Militia. We all know a cop is right.
The show started out looking like it would show gun owners in a positive light, but stopped there and turned ugly, as to suggest that gun owners may look at first to be sane, but we all know better. They are nutcases and militia wannabees.
How much of a suggestion do you need before it is leftist propaganda? Do they need a big banner and to yell, "Hey, everybody, people who love guns are nutcases and militia wannabees!" You can't possibly be that naive.
