It is human nature to want to possess things , ie to own land, properties , jewellies etc.

People want freedom, democrasy etc...

Communism has failed to deliver what it has promised to the people, that is a "paradise on earth"

Can we predict, with some reasonable logic, that the days of Communism is numbered???

after all, how long can cold steel, brute force keep down a nd suppress the human spirit?

That's because the stated Communist states have corrupted Communism with Totalitarianism. You can't just seize and kill and expect to be successful.

Under "true" Communism you give up real God given rights for a set of perceived Government given rights for the benefit of the whole community. Usually this is done "in the name of the children, the environment, community health or safety."

The government promises you a guarded healthy happy birth to death experience in a pristine enviroment and all they ask for is your right to your life, your liberty and your pursuit of happiness. Now who in their right minds would refuse a deal like that?
