Kennedy Library transcripts about intern (17 pages)

A new biography of John F. Kennedy claims that the late president had an affair with a teenage White House intern. But while historian Robert Dallek's "An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963" does not identify JFK's young squeeze, documents recently unsealed by the Kennedy presidential library seem to put a name to the young gal--and it's Mimi. As part of the library's oral history program, scores of Kennedy aides have provided recollections of their Camelot days, with interview transcripts being archived by library officials. Included in this group was Barbara Gamarekian, a White House aide, who was interviewed in 1964 by Diane Michaelis, who conducted some of the oral history Q&As. During that discussion, Gamarekian said that the unskilled Mimi had a "sort of a special relationship with the president." Wink-wink. Gamarekian recalled that the JFK-Mimi interaction was "the sort of thing that legitimate newspaper people don't write about or don't even make any implications about. It was kind of a big joke. Everyone knew about it and there were a lot of sly remarks made." While the bulk of Gamarekian's Q&A has been public for decades, the 17-page section dealing with Mimi had been sealed, at Gamarekian's request, since 1964. But with Dallek's book nearing publication, Gamarekian agreed to have the expurgated section--which you'll find below--released. The pages first became available on April 24 and were provided to TSG by a JFK library archivist. (17 pages)

I read about this intern two days ago and then today on Yahoo News the media tracked her down and interviewed her. Lord, the woman was just 19 like Monica, a White House intern like Monica, JFK was Bubba's mentor, both girls were two years from being rape bait (under 18) with both men came close to being labeled pedophiles. JFK & Bubba both were old enough to be these girls fathers. Both were presidents of the U.S. and couldn't keep their pants zipped. Both were RATS. Makes me sick to my stomach because all I can think of is: "How the mighty hath fallen."

Kennedy humped everybody from White House secretary Pan Turnure on. Like Arnold Palmer, he played 18 holes a day.

JFK was Bubba's mentor,

Kennedy was the original Bill Clinton. The difference was, the media protected Kennedy.

Seventeen pages? Wow, that's two less than the number of pages that Wellesley released from Hillary's thesis!

I smell a rat. :-)

The Kennedy Library isn't going to let this happen again in the next 25 years. This was a mistake. They restrict access to the presidential papers only to approved writers. This Dallek just included this anecdote because it fell into his lap and this incident is a small part of his book.
Read your more recent Kennedy histories and biographies and you will be disgusted by the behavior of the entire clan. The old man was one of the worst robber barons of the 20th century.
As they say, you can look it up.

-------------------

Kennedy was a hard-boiled psychopathic son of a bitch. He was over in Europe on vacation cavorting with other women when Jackie nad a miscarriage and almost died. She was administer the last rights. She wasn't expected to live. Kennedy didn't want to be bothered with its interruption of his party life. It took three days to talk him into returning to the U. S. to be with her. His back problems didn't interfere with a lot of things.

Jackie had a style, but was also a hard boiled character. She was shacked up with a guy by the name of Jack Bouchard when she was in Paris. In New York she was involved with a young stockbroker who was making about $100,000 per year. But she had made up her mind that it was going to take at least $50,000,000 to win the heart of Jakie Bouvier. She was a material girl. The Kennedys were worth at least $200,000,000 at the time. A deal was struck. She was bought and paid for.

Gosh, how do you know all that!!? I thought I used to read a lot about her! I didn't like that she pretty much 'lived' with another womans husband in her later years. I'm Catholic, and she supposedly was, but that broke all the rules!

Upon hearing Jack Kennedy I realized I was hearing a glib psychopath. He, and his election, was a slap in my face. I did quite a bit of studying of the Kennedys to analyze the Viet Nam war.

At that time, I guess I was just attracted by the beautiful young family! I wasn't 'into' politics then.

Jackie, by the way, tried to present herself as aristocratic French. She studied and spoke French to further that image. In reality, she was mostly Irish. The original Bouvier was a cabinet maker who came here in the 1800s. He created a small furniture empire. He didn't marry French. Jackie's grandmother was an Irish woman who spoke with a thick brogue and maintained an Irish home and life style. In later years they tried to keep the old woman isolated and shoved in the background because she was an embarrassment to social pretentions. Jackie's father Jack 'blackjack' Bouvier was a partier and womanizer who pissed away the family business and ended up worth a piddling $350,000, which was another embarrassment. Hell of a family.

BooHoo, all my illusions destroyed! I did know all about her father, whom she adored, but didn't know about the grandmother. They certainly knew how to put on a good 'front'!!
