I wanted a semi-automatic so I didn't have to screw with drawing a hammer back everytime, draw taht slide back and bam bam bam.

Next time we have a Freeper handgun postal match, I hope you take part. We had a few women and one of the wives beat her husband. She was so happy and so was the husband.
I'll let others report who won.
My shooting days are over for a while. I had to tell the gun club that I can't be around for a while. I hope to be back in a couple of months. Kinda s#cks because since October, I was only able to shoot in two matches since I thought I was well enough to shoot.
Then something else happened.
That's life.
Right now, I suppose my shooting is humiliating.

I think most women think gunshops are worse than porno shops. I think you have a point there. Women are more accepting of homosexuality then firearms. Look at how homosexuals / perverts are protected and gun owners are reviled.

You don't need to draw back the hammer on a double action revolver. Many don't even have external hammers. Just pull the trigger.
And in a moment of survival stress, you will not freeze up pondering if you chambered a round already or not.

Shocking a saddening, isn't it?
Our PC-mad schools are removing the muskets from Minuteman mascots, as if we won our freedom by blowing kisses at the redcoats.

yesss !
Better late than never is right. I did notice Mister Press Pass that day, figured he was with this rag. (Sorry to constantly bag on this paper, it's a bad habit.)
So this makes the second newspaper, not bad. I'm surprised they didn't run a pic of Sharon Runner.

This (pictured) lady is our friend who is a FR lurker, btw. When she's ready we'll see a brand new handle. We suggested Pistol Packin' Mama but that appears to be taken. :)

Morning Sir:
I've found that a light background is good for beginning shooters because it contrasts with the sights, allowing good front sight acquisition and alignment with the rear sight. (And it's not so bad for us who shoot a lot but don't have 16 year old peepers anymore.) :)

It isn't the noise. The thing hurts my dinky little hands, and I can't shoot for very long.

We all have our moments when we shouldn't hit the post button.
Maybe when Ms. Carey stops lurking you can give some helpful tips.
I don't think an improvement is an option. It's probably more important to me to adjust to the new situation.

Why didn't I think of that????? Probably because you have better things to do than read old Jeff Cooper articles from the early 60's. :)
