"A real sociopath is going to get along, and can convince ALMOST anyone that they are this caring, kindly, concerned person. With Scott, it doesn't even look like he's TRYING to do that. A real sociopath would definitely give it a try, and would probably convince most people of his "concern".

Here are a couple of sites that talk about sociopaths and Narcisstic Personalities. They seem very similar to me.

It doesn't say anything about them getting along. It does say they can be very charming, but I do believe this is only when they first meet someone that they want to Con. I think most of them know they can't Con law inforcement very easily, so they don't try.

From Article" Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They dominate and humiliate their victims."......Callousness/Lack of Empathy Unable to emphasize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.
Callous/Lack of Empathy is where Scott is right now.

I find that statement hostile and "controlling" very interesting. Remember when Dennis Rocha, Laci's severley grieving Dad said "I always said Scott was too controlling, waaaaaaay too controlling"!! Seems rather chilling now doesn't it?

Good stuff!!

You've just got to read Hervey Cleckley's book, "The Mask of Sanity"! His info is so elucidating, and he had lots of these people as his patients.

They "get along" because (in spite of their coldness) they need other people. They are absolutely NOTHING without other people. It's like they don't even exist, w/o seeing themselves reflected off other people. They FEAR alone-ness. Perhaps they fear it because if it's just them, there's literally nothing there.

Plus they have to have the other people b/c they require constant stimulation. They absolutely cannot simply settle into a contented holding pattern. They MUST stir the pot. They MUST have "action".

I am no expert, and I haven't decided whether in my unschooled opinion Scott is a real sociopath, but I did notice that he NEVER stayed in any one place for long. Always, always in motion. And that even goes for what I heard of his behavior before the murder. Never seemed content. (Of course, he's been staying in one place since about mid-April, ha ha...but I digress.)
