Feds raid a Carmel home
Carmel, May 15 - Officers say it was 7:15 Thursday morning when the Carmel Police escorted several FBI and IRS vehicles to 13246 Blacktern Way in Carmel. Those officials didn't leave until just past 11:30 a.m.
The address is listed as the home of Azam Meo. Reportedly a search warrant was obtained as part of an IRS criminal investigation.
Neighbors say several officers entered the home with guns drawn wearing bulletproof vests.
When the neighbors questioned an officer about their safety, they say the response was, "You're safer now than you were before."
Officers spent the morning seizing property from the home and taking pictures inside.
Residents say it's a quiet neighborhood. But some say they have noticed what they call "shady activity" surrounding the home in the last two years, including on at least one occasion a U-Haul truck leaving the premises in the middle of the night.
Police says there are no arrests or charges at this time. However, the investigation continues.
These feds slay me.
Carmel IN again. Hmmmm
LOL! I can guarantee that you will never see a similar story about Greenwood. This is a far more suspicious area to try and hide out.
I also have known Azam for several years. I actually met Azam in college while I was attending ITT-Technical Institute (Now there's a piehole of a college that the FEDS should be focusing investigative efforts on instead). Azam is one of the few people I am glad to of ever met in my life. I don't have no life-changing story to tell about Azam. I only post this because I have great respect for Azam. It frustrates me that people would make racist comments about someone or an incident that they truly know nothing about. I believe that chance33_98
was only upset because there was a job opening, of which he applied for, at his local Kwik-Mart and was turned down for the position.
Azam is an up-font individual whom is honest no matter what. He is a caring individual whom could be mistaken to be otherwise only because his look of seriousness and ethnic race. Frankly, I think that it is extremely sad that his neighbors would even think to report peculiar activity just from observing a UHAUL at his home in the early morning. It's strange that people in such a nice neighborhood could be so ignorant themselves and about their neighbors whom they've lived nearby for so many years. They've neglected to take the time to meet Azam's family. I hope the neighbors with bogus claims lose their homes to foreclosure. They don't deserve to live in such a nice neighborhood if their going to be snobbish pricks! Or at least I hope they lose their appendages to leprosy.
Sincerely,
C. Jason Wilson
